Michael Hastings is a gentleman of some esteem and repute. Known for his minstrelsy and general bardic behaviour, he arraigns the air with his merry guitar melodies, and sings with his mouth at the same moment. He recognises no laird, and is leige to neither sheep nor shoemaker, although the patient badger is held in his regard.

Michael's general interests include playing his guitar and singing songs, eating cheese, drinking tea, sleeping, selling washing up liquid, thinking up bad puns, telling stories, feeding the cat, learning norwegian, reading about gnomes, listening to Vivian Stanshall, faffing, being skint, daydreaming and playing in a band called The Pendulums.
